The Shadow Side is Andy Biersack's upcoming solo album to be released on May 6, 2016 under the moniker Andy Black.
Biersack has said that it is meant to be a side project and that he will continue making music for Black Veil Brides.
The first single from the album, We Don't Have To Dance, was released on March 18, 2016.
Production
During a backstage interview at the Alternative Press Music Awards 2015, Andy said that his plan was to work on the Andy Black album and Black Veil Brides's upcoming album concurrently. In addition, he stated that he has written about 45 songs for the album and just needs to record the best ones.[1]
Several rockers will feature on the album including Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance, Rian Dawson from All Time Low, Ashton Irwin from 5 Seconds of Summer, Travis Barker from Blink-182, and Quinn Allman from the Used.
