The band had wanted to do a re-recording of their debut album as far back as 2013, when Jake began learning more about music production. Andy has stated that when listening to the original album in his car for the first time, he felt that it was not what he truly wanted it to sound like. [add citation]
While most of the songs have been said to remain mostly the same, there will be some differences. For one, the solo on [[Perfect Weapon]] has been changed to the slightly different one played by [[Jake Pitts]] live. Re-Stitch These Wounds is the re-recorded and re-imagined version of Black Veil Brides' debut album, We Stitch These Wounds. Released under the label Sumerian Records, it was produced by lead guitarist Jake Pitts and is meant to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album.
