Vale is Black Veil Brides's fifth studio album, released through Lava Records/Universal Republic Records on January 12, 2018.[1] It is the final album to feature bassist Ashley Purdy.

Release and Promotion[]

A teaser was uploaded onto YouTube showcasing a riff reminiscent of the band Pantera and shows the Black Veil Brides members in the studio listening to it.[2]

On December 21, 2016, The Outsider, the first single from the album, was uploaded onto YouTube. This coincided with them being on the 343rd issue of the Alternative Press magazine.[3]

In an interview with Ryan J. Downey, Andy disclosed that the album was written with the idea in mind that it would be the band's final record. He stated that a primary function of the record was to say goodbye to an element within the band, and that this was able to be done by making it the end to the story found on Wretched and Divine. Nonetheless, it was meant to be a concept album, yet the band was not in the same room together during the recording process for most of it. Andy has said that this contributed to it not being as much of a concept record as Wretched and Divine was.[4]
